These two images are of the first atom bomb test, trinity. The first is an aerial shot of the aftermath, the second is a more classic shot, capturing the explosion itself. Not only is it quite striking and a little scary, It is by far the most powerful weapon humanity has at it’s disposal, so it fits perfectly in a warning against hostile aliens. One of the “fathers” of the atom bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer, made a statement shortly after this first test quoting an old Indian scripture in quite a chilling, regretful tone, “I am become death, the destroyer of worlds”. It is a dramatic and well-known quote that i could feature in my own work.
